ppgi ppgl

Both PPGL and PPGI stand for Pre-Painted Galvalume and Pre-Painted Galvanized Iron, respectively. They are basically the same, with just the coating on the steel being different. Zinc-coated PPGI can protect the steel from rust and damage. PPGL is a steel with a coating polymer of a lower mix of zinc and aluminum and further improves the durability level to withstand extreme weather conditions.

Now that we know the difference, let us discuss the benefits of utilizing PPGI and PPGL for your building. One of the main things is that they are powerful. I liked that the coatings are able to prevent rust and damage, which can extend the life of buildings.

The Benefits of Using PPGI and PPGL in Construction

PPGI and PPGL are both suitable to be used in construction, but there are some distinctions to consider. Generally, PPGI is less expensive than PPGL, thus, it is a suitable option for the low-budget Projects. But PPGL provides better weather protection, so it does better when used for buildings in difficult environments.

Let’s now have a look at how PPGI and PPGL are produced. For both, the process is similar. It starts as galvanized steel, which is coated with a layer of zinc or a zinc-aluminum coating. Next the steel is coated with paint that adheres well to the coating.
